Alternative description of plaque productivity/fecundity.
Plaque yield along with plaque size and plaque morphology are things that can vary between phage types, as a function of indicator bacteria (genetics and physiology), and due to differences in environmental conditions. The latter can include temperature, density of cells used to initiate lawns, incubation duration, agar density, richness of media, etc. See also the more general term, yield.
